A note to subscribers

Sorry about the pledge request

I want to apologize to existing subscribers for the request for pledges that showed up when you subscribed. I didn’t know that would happen and have now figured out how to remove it. Many thanks to those who did offer a pledge. I don’t have any immediate plans to ask for paid subscriptions and wouldn’t think of doing so until I am ready to commit to regular and informative posts.
